Laurie Lazzaro Knowlton has authored a total of 31 books.  She has been published in the trade, educational, craft, and Christian markets.  WHY COWBOYS SLEEP WITH THEIR BOOTS ON is Laurie's best selling picture book.  It won the Premier Print Award given by Eastman Kodak and has sold over 40,000 copies since publication.

Laurie wrote and illustrated both GOD BE IN MY HEART, 1999, and RED, WHITE, AND BLUE, 2002.  An illustration from RED, WHITE, AND BLUE is on display at The Huebner Museum, housed in the children's department of the Toledo Public Library. 

Laurie is an international speaker, addressing students, educators, librarians, writers, and the public throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
